Catching up now. Decided to spend a couple of days in London with my girlfriend, and of course my camera came along with me. This picture is one of my favourites. The subject is one of the cavalry guards standing outside Horse Guards Parade on Whitehall. How these guys manage to sit there, straight faced for such time is impressive. And some very well trained horses to!
Again, a couple weeks late with this. Starting to become a bad habit.
Anyway, this is one of the sample shots of my lovely MR2 that I sent off as part of a job application for a photography company dealing with some large vehicle dealerships. As its happens I haven’t heard anything back but it was only ever going to be a little side line for me anyways.
So the week just gone I had the pleasures of spending a few days working away in the wonderful city of Paris. During my time here I was able to get a little time off to wander round and take in the sights. Which was nice. I do enjoy being in Paris. The weather wasn’t perfect, but then in February I wasn’t expecting it to be. A break in the clouds meant I was able to get this shot standing in front of Palais de Chaillot, looking down over the always busy Parisian traffic.
By now I should imagine everyone has returned to the mundane ways of day to day life. However, for some there is no such thing. For cats, in particular, there isn’t much more to do than worry about food and sleep. Just like Alfie below!
If only life was that easy!
Week one. Where it all starts.
Now that the Christmas and New Years celebrations are over, everyone is now slowly sinking back into the daily grind and their own personal routines.
Days off work, lazy days and late nights. All this can lead to us losing track of time every so often, something that was reflected in my alarm clock late Sunday night.
Who really knows what the time is?
So, with the complete failure of last years 52 Week Project, I’ve decided to give it another go this time round.
Having had quite some time away from photography I’m now wanting to get back into the swing of things. I’ve got myself some new equipment, in the form of a Canon 70D body and a Canon 24-105mm EF-L Series lens. Which so far I’m more than impressed with.
I have a wedding to shoot in October this year, some fresh ideas in mind I’ll be trying to implement as well as various events that I plan to be attending throughout the year.
Starting off with this project I feel will help me ease back in to the way of using my cameras nice and often.
